Invoice for wool shipment, 1886 October 28, Glasgow.

Bill of lading for a shipment of 16 bags of washed Scotch carpet wool via steamship, State of Nebraska, embarking from Glasgow and bound for Philadelphia. A Custom House seal is testament to its arrival there on 9 November 1886. The document bears the title of American author Bret Harte, who at one time was United States consul at Glasgow. This invoice, however, is endorsed by Francis H. Underwood.
